Our 2021 AUMC Narrative Budget provides a visual synopsis of Aldersgate’s ministry and how its resources are allocated.
We are the church living out of God’s grace, generosity. We thank you that in spite of this time of unprecedented closing of in-person services, that AUMC did not hunker down. We faithfully continue to keep stride with the movement of the Spirit. We are growing into collaborative worship services online. We are finding creative ways to continue with our mission outreach and finding new ways to reach those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. We are building small care groups, inviting new people to connect and nurturing members with opportunities to stay engaged through all stages of our journey. Through all these transitions, we are centering ourselves in God’s presence and loving one another. As we navigate through this pandemic, racial reckonings, and economic impacts, we are blessed with faith leaning into our heart’s deepest treasure, that of God’s generosity, the gift of God with us, Christ Jesus. God will see us through.
In and through these times, may we share generously.
Rev. Wongee Joh
Forming relationships that reflect the love of God creates a special form of community; one that is caring, forgiving, welcoming, affirming, seeking justice, and creating peace. At AUMC, we live out community in a variety of ways.
Worship brings us into a transformational encounter with God and experiences of belonging, believing and becoming. At AUMC, we offer inclusive, music-filled worship services which connect to our changing context. Our desire is to worship God and be one in Spirit.
Mission & World Community
The love we receive from God energizes us to reach out to the world to share the good news in many ways. Mission is simply how we join God through faith in action and act on the love, hope and peace with justice we have received through Christ. Also, as part of the connectional United Methodist Church, we support conference work that directs and expands the work of the broader church regionally and globally.
Building & Grounds
We are blessed to have a beautiful church building in an expansive natural setting. These resources allow us to conduct meaningful worship, meditation, and prayer, as well as a variety of outreach activities that foster Christian education and growth for all ages. Our facilities are shared and appreciated by many groups in the local community.
