The AUMC Office Manager position is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. This position performs a variety of tasks which are critical to the efficient management of AUMC. As the first contact for both church and community members, it is important for the office manager to be warm and friendly yet discreet and respectful.
Prioritizing tasks, time management, and the ability to work alone and with staff, volunteers and the public is essential. Some main responsibilities are basic front desk duties, email communications, maintaining calendar and assisting with special projects within the life of the church. Familiarity with standard office software necessary.
The AUMC Children, Youth and Family Ministry Director position is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. This position develops programming for children, youth and families both within our church and our community. This position is the key connection for families, youth and the church, so they must be warm, approachable and open.
This position will coordinate Youth Group, Sunday School Classes, Mission projects along with all church and community activities so they need to be organized, creative, and be able to work with all. Collaborating with the pastor and being a part of the life of the church along with actively participating in their own faith journey is essential. Understanding of Methodism and having a progressive Christian mindset is a plus.
The AUMC Choir Director and Accompanist position is a part-time position averaging 15 hours per week. This position’s prime responsibility is to bring both choral music and traditional hymns into our worship services.
Collaborating with pastor, music, and program staff along with the congregation to make music a cohesive part of our worship services as well as a meaningful part of our church is critical. Familiarity with traditional hymns and spiritual choral anthems is hugely appreciated.
